Good Frig with Usability Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In general, this refrigerator work very well. It is spacious and visually appealing. There are a few issues that mar its function. 1) The shelves that insert into the doors are limited to fairly fixed positions. There is little room for adjustment (e.g., for taller items). If one shelf is arranged higher, the shelf above becomes unusably small. 2) The shelves in the main body are also fairly fixed and, again, don't adjust well for taller items. 3) The water/ice dispenser is difficult to use. A previous model had buttons to select ice or water and then pressing the lever with a container delivered the requested material. This water/ice dispenser has two levers and both can be inadvertently pressed when inserting a container. This delivers unwanted material and usually results in material falling to the floor. The "measured fill"/"favorite fill" is cumbersome to adjust and generally more trouble than it's worth. The option for crushed ice is nice, my old Kitchenaid didn't have this feature. 4) Some of these issues may have solutions, but very little user information is provided with the unit. Installation instructions are provided but don't cover many usability features.

Ice Maker not Working after 1 Week of ownership.

Exactly What We Wanted!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator for a month now, and we are absolutely thrilled with it! It is exactly what we wanted, has the space and organization that we need and aesthetically looks very nice.

Repeated Failures and No Accountability

I purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator that began experiencing mechanical issues within months of installation. Over a span of four months, KitchenAid sent a technician to service the same recurring issue eight (8) times over the last 15 months. Despite their repeated attempts, the problem was never fixed. Rather than acknowledging the refrigerator as defective and replacing it, KitchenAid continued with temporary repair attempts until the unit was out of warranty. Now that the warranty has expired—after months of failed service calls—KitchenAid refuses to replace the unit. Instead, they are offering to sell me another appliance at a "discounted price," which I find unacceptable. This refrigerator has never functioned properly. I followed all proper procedures, initiated service during the warranty period, and gave KitchenAid ample opportunity to resolve the issue. Their refusal to replace a clearly defective product is a failure of their warranty obligations and customer service.

Noises

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice refrigerator, seems to work fine. Makes a tone of weird noises, not a quiet appliance. I had the Jenn Air equivalent. It broke, so I bought the kitchen aid. The Jenn air did not make as much noise. Probably worth the $3k savings.

Everything is reachable

Looks good but the ice maker needs help….

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this refrigerator for about five months. It looks nice and the wood grain details on the inside make it better-than-average as far as aesthetics. However, the ice maker doesn’t work consistently and will sometimes stop making ice for no reason at all. I have to power it off and back on to reset it before it will make ice again. The Max Ice feature seems to be something added just to annoy the consumer because it never, ever makes ‘Max Ice.’ When the ice maker does work, it often spits out a couple of pieces of ice after I’ve walked away. Not cool. Lastly, the freezer is just too small to store very much. I figured when I bought it that this would be a problem, and it is. I wouldn’t buy this refrigerator again.

Lemon or poor design?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Water filter immediately leaked and froze ice in the bottom and leaked into freezer compartment as well. Ice dispenser throws ice pieces onto tray and the floor when dispensing ice, no matter how tight you hold the cup or glass to the dispenser door. You have to plant your feet and jerk to get the freezer door open.

Beautiful interior with many great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our other refrigerator for this this counter depth and it fits perfectly in our kitchen. Makes a big difference in the space. The interior is beautiful with plenty of space for everything. Everything works perfectly and is very simple to put on vacation with the touch of a button.

Major issues

This refrigerator is less than 2 years old and it hasn’t worked right at all. The ice maker has stopped dispensing ice, the back of the refrigerator freezes things, and there is ice and water buildup on the bottom of the fridge that constantly leaks onto my floor. I have had repair personnel out at least 6 times and they have not been able to fix it. I wish I would have seen these reviews before I purchased this refrigerator, I would never have bought it.
